"It is our goal to offer more output voltage with the '40A' Series than with any previous UltraVolt product line," said James Morrison, Executive Vice President. "Our advanced design will allow us to offer 40kV in a 17.1 cubic inch PCB or chassis mountable package with an efficiency of nearly 80%."

In addition to a programmable 0 to 40kV output rated at 0 to 4 watts, 15 watts and 30 watts, the "40A" Series will be equipped with analog/DAC ready 0 to +5Vdc output programming and TTL enable/disable control. Additional features of the "40A" Series will include scaleable output voltage and current monitors, pulse by pulse current limiting, output short circuit protection and arc protection.

Complementing the "40A"s small size and high efficiency are tight regulation, low ripple, and good temperature stability along with fifteen built-in features and functions. As with most UltraVolt products, the "40A" Series will be capable of PCB or chassis mount in the standard plastic package, and will support optional mu-metal shielding or RF tight packaging.
